Team Bass Championship Series
The LMRA Team Bass Championship Series got its start in 1997. That year there were only 7 tournaments in the series and the first Champions were Roger Ray and Rick Farmer. There are now 9 tournaments on various lakes in the area, with the first and last tournaments being two day events. The season starts in February and goes through October.
To be awarded with the honor of Champions, a team must fish in 7 of the 9 tournaments and have only one substitute team member. This substitute can be used as often as necessary, but has to be the same person each time. At the end of the fishing year, the winning team will be awarded the Championship trophy.
To determine which team wins the top honor, a point system is used. Participating teams will receive 100 points for first place, 99 points for second place, 98 points for third place, 97 points for fourth place, and so on. All participating teams that do not weigh-in fish, but show up at weigh-in, will receive last place points, minus 10. (Example: If the last place team gets 85 points, all participating teams that do not weigh-in fish but show up for weigh-in will receive 75 points). All teams must be present at weigh-in to receive points.
At the end of the year, the points are added and the team with the most points will be awarded the Championship Trophy and additional monitary prize. Also, the 2nd and 3rd place teams will also receive monitary prizes. Team standings are announced in the LMRA newsletter each month and be email.
There is also a Junior Division (under the age of 17). Any team that consists of a junior angler and the junior angler fishes in at least 5 tournaments will be eligible for awards. The top 3 junior anglers that meet these requirements will receive trophies at the end of the season. A special entry fee of $20 per tournament has been set for the junior angler.

Team Bass Fishing Tournaments
The LMRA Fishing Activity provides enjoyable, fun and competitive bass fishing tournaments in a team format. These tournaments are open to all employees, contractors, suppliers and their guests. You do not have to be a member of the LMRA Fishing Activity to participate in the Team Bass Fishing Tournaments; however you save entry fee money at each event and your membership fees help pay for the prizes at the end of the tournament year. So you are encouraged to sign up and become a member.
Tournament entry fees will be $40 for activity members and $50 for employees and guests. All tournaments pay back 90% in CASH of monthly entry fees received, after weigh-in.
There is a Big Fish pot available at every tournament for $5 per person and must be paid prior to fishing. Also, Flat Lands Custom Tackle is donating a tackle prize package for each tournament to the big fish winner. To see Flat Lands Custom Tackle, visit their website at www.flatlandscustomtackle.com or contact Joey Watts at flatlands247@aol.com.
There is a 7 pound or over pot also available for $1 per tournament and must be paid prior to fishing. This pot is a continuously growing pot, until someone catches a keeper that is 7 pound or over. You must be current with the pot to be eligible.
