OBJECT

The object of the Art Activity is to promote fellowship among its members, to promote development of artistic skills, to exhibit art works created by members, and to encourage members to utilize their talents for the benefit of the community.

MEMBERSHIP

All active employees and retirees of Lockheed Martin Tactical Aircraft Systems are eligible for Employee Membership. Extended family members who are 18 years of age or older are also eligible.
Annual dues: $25.00

Guest Memberships are extended to non-employees who are sponsored by any person eligible for Employee Membership. Guest Members enjoy all privileges of membership.
Annual dues: $65.00

MEETINGS

The Art Activity meets at 6:30 p.m. the last Thursday of each month. The business meeting is usually followed by an educational program in which a professional artist or educator demonstrates a technique of interest to members. Meetings are held in the Art Studio located in the East Wing of the Fitness Center.  Guests are always welcome.

ACTIVITIES

 

MAKING ART
 

The Art Activity furnishes tables and easels, and an extensive library of books, magazines, and videos for loan to members.  Each member furnishes his/her own expendable materials: pencils, paper, canvases, brushes, paints and mediums.

 Open Studio: Tuesday 9:30am – 3:30 pm, Thursday 3:30pm – 10:00pm and Saturday 9:30am – 6:00pm.   Water-Media only: Thursday 9:30am – 3:30pm. 

SHOWING ART
The Art Activity presents two members-only juried art-shows each year in April and October with awards for works in all media. To see a sample prospectus for these shows click here.
